Sandra M. Ward
Sandra is from Dublin, Ireland, and moved to Canada in 1988 when she joined our firm. Since then, she has been exclusively involved in the trademark area of practice. Sandra is a registered Trademark Agent and practices in all areas of trademark agency. This includes: the preparation and prosecution of trade-mark applications; the provision of opinions relating to registrability of trade-marks: the transfer of IP rights; as well as opposition and expungement proceedings. She manages the international portfolios of both small and large Canadian companies. Sandra also has experience in copyright applications and process.
For the past several years, Sandra has been an active member on various committees of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC), including the Online Trademark Agent Training Course Committee, the International Issues Committee (Trademarks), serving on each for a period of two years. She is currently an active member of IPIC’s Trademark Practice Committee, INTA’s Non-Traditional Trademarks Committee and ECTA’s Internet Committee.

Sandra loves travelling to new places. In her spare time, when she is not driving her two teenagers around the city, she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends.
